Il Monastero della Comunità di Siloe è stato realizzato da un progetto di Edoardo Milesi nel 2001 con una architettura semplice ed essenziale secondo i dettami delle Regola Benedettina e dall’altra rispettando l’ambiente naturale, il tutto circondato dalla bellezza delle colline nel cuore della Maremma. Staccate dall’edificio centrale sorgono la Chiesa di San Benedetto e Cappella della luce al Monastero di Siloe. La prima titolata a San Benedetto patrono d’Europa è ricavata da un vecchio ovile, al suo interno sono esposti un Crocifisso e due grandi Icone; la seconda, la cappella della luce contiene una statua della Madonna illuminata da un fascio di luce che attraversa un anello di roccia.
The Monastery of the Community of Siloe was realized by a project of Edoardo Milesi in 2001 with a simple and essential architecture according to the dictates of the Benedictine Rule and on the other respecting the natural environment, all surrounded by the beauty of the hills in the heart of the Maremma. The church of San Benedetto and the Chapel of the Light, located at the Monastery of Siloe, are detached from the central building. The first titled San Benedetto patron saint of Europe is made from an old sheepfold, inside there is a Crucifix and two large icons; the second, the light chapel contains a statue of the Madonna illuminated by a beam of light that runs through a ring of rock.
