Meeting in Cyprus
For our school the week of April 16-20 was productive and eventful. L.I.T.C school greeted guests from Italy, Spain, Hungary and Portugal. This was the first meeting of the project. The themes of the project are culture, natural features, cuisine, traditions of different countries. Twenty-five students and teachers from the European Union got acquainted with Cypriot cuisine. Sheftalia, Halloumi, Traditional Sweets, Anari, Souvla, Commandaria, Palouzes were just some of the traditional products that our guests not only tasted, but also watched the process of their production.
Representatives of the school and guests were invited to the town hall, where they met with the mayor of Limassol, Mr. Nikos Nicolaides. There were also couple of tours, where guests got to know Cyprus and its traditions. The week of April 16-20 was the beginning of a new friendship between teachers and students from all countries participating in the Erasmus P.A.N.T.A. R.E.I project. In our unstable times, L.I.T.C. has become an example of how working together, representatives of different countries can contribute to the development of friendship and multinational cooperation. The next meeting will take place in Hungary in October 2018!
